Working with our partners at LateraL Norway, Atlantas Marine carried out trials in Weymouth Bay using LateraL’s FlexiClean cleaning equipment. The distinctive red FlexiClean cleaning heads were tested in real-world conditions to better understand their performance, capability and future potential.
The trials also included testing across a range of ROV platforms and cleaning systems, including the VideoRay Defender and the Ocean Modules V8 M500.
This type of testing is essential. It allows equipment to be assessed outside of controlled environments, where variables such as visibility, water movement, access limitations and asset geometry can all influence performance.
By evaluating technology in real operational conditions, we gain a clearer understanding of where it performs well, where it can be refined and how it could support a wider range of subsea applications.
