Offshore wind farm operator
Offshore Substation Platform Inspection from a Crew Transfer Vessel
Case Study
Renewables
Atlantas Marine completed offshore renewables ROV inspections covering two offshore substation platforms (OSPs) at an operational offshore wind farm off the North Wales coast, working from a crew transfer vessel (CTV) with the Ocean Modules V8 M500 ROV. Over nine days, mobilisation to demobilisation, the campaign covered every jacket face, leg and node on both structures, along with cable risers, J-tubes, anode condition, marine growth, welded connections and full cathodic protection (CP) profiles down each leg. All work was completed without divers in the water.

Comprehensive Subsea Inspection of Offshore Wind Farm Structures
Case Study
Renewables
Atlantas Marine inspected eight wind turbine generators and the offshore substation at an operating wind farm with the Ocean Modules V8 M500 ROV, covering monopiles, transition pieces, cable protection systems and anodes. Marine growth thickness and anode potentials were measured at depth, scour was assessed around every monopile and cable inlet, and each asset was reported separately with video, sonar and survey files. No major defects were found and all anode readings were within the acceptable range.
Offshore Renewables Company
Comprehensive Cable Protection System (CPS) Inspection
Case Study
Renewables
Atlantas Marine inspected the cable protection system at wind turbine A11 with the Ocean Modules V8 M500 ROV, surveying the full run from the monopile bellmouth to the burial point by HD video and imaging sonar. Six anomalies were recorded with positions and measurements, including about 7 metres of exposed cable and 2 metres of cable running beyond the rock bags, giving the operator a clear scope for remediation.
Offshore Oil & Gas Company
Subsea Freespan Pipeline Inspection
Case Study
Oil Gas
Atlantas Marine surveyed a freespan section of a 3.5-inch MEG pipeline nearshore at a coastal site with a VideoRay Mission Specialist Defender ROV. The span was measured by multibeam sonar at 28.14 metres with a height of 0.5 to 1.5 times the pipe diameter, burial and touchdown points were positioned by GPS and navigation, and a 40 by 30 metre seabed survey found no debris or trawl damage. The pipe showed no damage, deformation or leaks.
Quarry Owner
Quarry Clearance Operation
Case Study
Water Infrastructure
Atlantas Marine cleared a former aqua park quarry of 208 soft lines, mostly buoyant ropes tied to concrete-filled barrels, at depths of up to 75 metres using a VideoRay Mission Specialist Defender ROV. Lines were found by sonar and altimeter in low visibility, cut and removed across two zones, and the clearance was verified by semi-autonomous grid searches, with no one in the water.
