A Legacy of Innovation and Excellence

Founded in 2000, Atlantas Marine specializes in the design and manufacture of underwater inspection cameras and equipment for unmanned submersible vehicles (ROVs). As the UK dealer for VideoRay ROVs since 2001, the company has supplied over 400 systems and provides subsea inspection services, technical support, and training to a global client base.

Impressive Growth in International Trade
Announced on Monday, 6 May, Atlantas Marine is the sole Somerset-based recipient among 252 national winners of the King’s Award for Enterprise. The company achieved a 300% increase in overseas earnings over three years, with international trade now accounting for 51% of its turnover. Key export regions include Central and South America, Asia, and Africa.

Presentation by the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset
The award will be formally presented by His Majesty The King’s personal representative, the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset. Later this year, award recipients will attend a special reception hosted by His Majesty The King at Windsor Castle.

Charlie Foll, Managing Director and Founder of Atlantas Marine, said:

“It is a great honour to be recognised in this year’s King’s Award for Enterprise. This award is testament to the experience, skill, and professionalism of our fantastic team. Together, we have exceeded growth forecasts and look forward to expanding further, particularly in offshore wind.”

Continued Growth and Future Ambitions

Operating from new, state-of-the-art, energy-efficient offices in Yeovil, Atlantas Marine now employs 16 staff. With a turnover exceeding ÂŁ7 million and projected to surpass ÂŁ10 million by 2027, the company plans to expand its sales and inspection services, focusing on the growing offshore wind sector.

Renamed last year to honour His Majesty The King, the King’s Awards for Enterprise continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II in celebrating outstanding UK businesses. Established in 1965, the programme is now in its 58th year and remains the country’s highest business honour.
