The Mission Specialist AHRS module (Attitude and Heading Reference System), also referred to as an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), provides feedback on the submersible’s orientation. Measurements include magnetic heading, attitude (pitch and roll) and rates of change. The AHRS module also includes a pressure sensor to determine depth.
