Quester Tangent - Seabed Classification

Quester Tangent’s range of Seabed Classification software uses image based techniques to classify the seabed according to its acoustic properties. Available for a wide variety of echo sounders and sonars, this post-processing solution allows the hydrographer to extract more information from survey data.

These results show seabed classification results overlayed on bathymetry from 3 surveys using SIDEVIEW, MULTIVIEW, and IMPACT respectively. This demonstrates the repeatability of QTC acoustic classification, which is not dependant on echosounder or sonar type, frequency or survey conditions.
