When inspecting underwater assets it is critical that precise information is collected to ensure that proper decisions are made. When details matter, the ULS-100 Underwater Laser Scanner outperforms both sonar and video inspection techniques.
HOW THE ULS-100 WORKS
The head of the sensor sweeps a line of laser light over a surface and obtains measurements to hundreds of points along the line at each position, capturing thousands of points per second. Combining these measurements results in a high density 3D representation of the underwater asset being scanned.
The user has the ability to measure distances, create reference geometry and adjust the color map of the collected points. Multiple scans can be merged into a single 3D point cloud and exported to standard CAD packages for further work.
