This July, Ben Foll and Tom Welford are entering The Mongol Rally; a 10,000-mile race from Goodwood, England to the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar.
They aim to raise £10,000 for the ‘Precious Lives Appeal’ Charity, who are planning to build a new Children’s Hospice centre in Cornwall for terminally ill children. The centre called ‘Little Harbour’ will offer a wide range of services such as 24-hour palliative care and end of life care for the child. Additional support will include advice over bereavement issues for their parents and siblings.
Ben & Tom have persuaded the local Mercedes dealer in Truro to give them a Smart car to complete the rally, and maintenance training. They are called ‘Team Smart’, and they are now busy raising funds for the project.
